The term "Columbian Exchange" was first coined by a historian named Alfred Crosby(King,2016). He explained the exchanged of life from the Old World to the New World. This came after Christopher Columbus' and began 1492. The Old World had crops and stuff the Old World knew nothing about or had ever seen any crops. They used a lot of maize grain in 1491. Maize grain and other crops like potatoes was an important part of nourishment. They exchanged plants, livestock, and medication. Schultz,2014).
