One of my earliest memories includes me in a men's dress shirt, running around my house, pretending to be my dad. He is my hero and has the most powerful ability of all, making a bad day good and a good day an even better one. For as long as I can remember, he has either called me sticky gum or buddy, based on his mood, because wherever he goes I always tag along. In the movie Incredibles I would portray Buddy Pine, the over obsessed superhero fan, and my dad would be the heroic Mr.Incredible. I have grown up admiring all he has done and sacrificed for my family, which is why this speech is to him, my dad. When my mom worked in Canada and had to leave on business trips every month, my dad was insistent on not having a babysitter. During this time he had to leave work early in order to drive me from preschool to either dance or gymnastics. In addition to being my chauffeur, he had to figure out how to do a ballet bun. He worked tirelessly to be there for me and being the stubborn person he is, did not accept the help of others. To this day my dad has never missed a dance recital, gymnastics competition, soccer game, cross country race, or swim meet. When I asked him why he does this, when most people would just try to get the job done and over with, he told me that no one should be alone.
