What is communism?

Communism can be described as a system or social organisation in which all social and economic activity is controlled by a self-perpetuating party or person. One of the first people to originate communism is Karl Marx; born on May 5th, 1818 he began his journey after school by studying sociopolitical theories at university. From then on he became a journalist where many of his papers were rejected and caused him to get expelled from Germany and France.

At the beginning of 1846, Marx sought to link socialist from around Europe and so was the Communist Correspondence Committee formed. With others in England taking interest in his ideas socialists in England held a conference and created the Communist League. A year later

Nowadays countries struggle to keep every single person a job, this is something Russia did perfectly as it meant happiness. Now happiness in a communist society is very important, as soon as something wrong happens rebellion will start if it can, but if everyone is content and happy it is clear the government is doing well.

Another similar thing the Russian Government is doing well in is the equal distribution of wealth. Everyone gets the exact same income as each other, this allows no power to be held within anybody or in other terms allows equal distribution of resources. The one problem that occurs within this system is that people want variety, they want to stand out from the crowd and have new items which others don't have. This introduced black markets into Russia and caused a flaw in the system, but there wasn’t much that the government could do.

Since Russia was focusing highly on their military power due to World War 1 and the Civil they had to have a capital investment on their factories to produce more efficiently with new technology. This made Russia’s production power very higher allowing them to produce things

With the pollution in China being a major risk as well as the working ours of citizens the Chinese government doesn’t care and will push every person to work as many hours as they can. All these aspects make China what it is today, a powerhouse economy with inequality.

With China facing many of the problems Russia had they overcome these weaknesses by changing the rules. By allowing China to own private businesses changed their whole country dramatically, it allowed a lot more trade to come and go and improved the overall satisfaction of the citizens. This is the one thing China did well, they adapted to the times and didn’t control everything unlike Russia, I’m sure that if Russia did the same thing as China they might of stayed communist for a little longer or till present.
