One difference between the two was the Mongol empire went to war more than the Byzantine Empire. The best way to show this is that the Mongol Empire plundered places to conquer the territory, whereas the Byzantine empire only took over rome and they under approximated the size. Another difference between them was the Byzantine Empire was more centralized than the Mongol empire. This is shown because the Byzantine Empire had one King and written laws while over in the Mongol Empire they had a King with prices and Khans to help rule the Empire. Another difference between these two great empires is that the Byzantine empire had outside influences, whereas the Mongol Empire had their own culture. The best way to account for this is that the Byzantine Empire was influenced by the Greek culture; where they adopted some of their ways, whereas the Mongol Empire was not influenced by outside cultures. These two great empires the Byzantine and Mongol empires were very similar but also very different. They shared great similarities that helped them rise to become great and powerful empires. However, they also had great differences that made them unique and powerful in their own special way.
