Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X, both important spearheads to the civil rights movement of the mid 20th century, were both very different people with very different ideas on how to achieve the common goal of racial equality. Growing up in different areas with different families and religious beliefs may have played a role in their differing views, but their ideas would converge later in life. As previously mentioned, MLK and Malcolm X grew up very differently and this affected their views and ideals.
