The two speeches, “I have a dream” by MLK and “Address to a meeting in New York” by Malcolm X, are very different.
For example MLK is more positive about the whole situation and you can tell with his tone and word choice. “I am happy to join with you today in what will go down in history as the greatest demonstration for freedom in the history of our nation”. That is how MLK started off his speech but Malcolm X a little different. “Friends and enemies, tonight I hope that we can have a little fireside chat with as few sparks as possible tossed around.” You can tell from this sentence that there will be some negativity and things he says that others might not like. It is clear that MLK and Malcolm X have very different tones to start off.
