Story truth in both the movie and book is that the truth isn't always the truth and telling it by making up things and telling your way. In some way it helps the readers and listeners to understand and feel for the story then it being 100 percent truth. Sometimes the truth isn’t always the truth and that's how they tell their stories by giving it some truth but not the whole thing.
