In the novel A Long Walk to Water by Linda Sue Park, and the article Tragedy and Triumph by C. Cooper Goodwin both share the same central idea. Both characters experience many challenges on their journey. Salva traveling through the desert, and Aron with an 800 pound boulder on his arm.
