In 2005 the FBI videotaped Congressman William Jefferson, a Democrat from Louisiana receiving cash bribes from an FBI informant. After that FBI waited the following year to raid Jefferson home and found a huge amount of cash located in the freezer of the home. What tied the two incidents together was the fact that the bills given to Jefferson by the FBI informant match the serial numbers of the bills in the freezer. …show more content…
I personally agree with the verdict, and I feel like each Congressman should be virtuous citizens. There are rules to be followed and if you break the rules there will be consequences. Due to dishonest Congressman like Jefferson the House of Senate have tightened their ethics rules making it hard to accept anything from anybody, and I don’t blame them for that. Unfortunate crimes by Congress like Jefferson’s makes it hard for me to trust anything dealing with politics. If I do say so myself they all are LIARS and history can prove it! When Congressman lie or any political government lies or steals it makes me think twice about the justice system we have today. How can the government correct wrong doing when they are committing the crimes. Due to the disloyal government official most Americans don’t waste their time to even
