In his Federalist Papers #47 James Madison states “the three great departments of power should be separate and distinct.” The constitution of the United States of America 1787 from Document B shows that the legislative branch makes the laws, the executive branch enforces the laws, and the judicial branch judges the laws. Madison says that it is possible to have tyranny in a democracy because all 3 branches could take control at any time. The main idea of Madison’s quote is about tyranny and how it can exist inside of our nation's government. The Constitution of the U.S.A, 1787 states that “the representatives shall be apportioned according to the population, the number of representatives shall not exceed one for every thirty thousand” the constitution of the U.S.A. states that the “senate of the united states shall be composed of two senators from each other, each senate shall have one vote.” This guards against tyranny because the House of Representatives want the larger states to have more population because they can take power over the small states and control the whole country and protect them from tyranny.

The Constitution is a very important part in your life because it talks about how the world was hard to live in and then after they made the Constitution the world became more peaceful and more powerful.
