During the Political Era, police corruption and brutality was extremely bad. In fact, the police mistreated the citizens with force and violence. For example, the use of police car disconnects the police with the citizens where face-to-face encounter is limited. Moreover, the brutality in the police unit for the protests of the Vietnam War and the Civil Right Movements led to the Community Era, a period of good interaction between the police officers and the citizens to prevent crime. Eventually, the New Era deals with the September 11 attacks and the importance of terrorism prevention along with the militarization of
