At the moment slender choice has a very limited variety of meals with 12 dinners and only 3 desserts which are available to order on their website online and are available for purchase in Superquinn, Dunnes stores and Tesco, while weight watchers might have more of a variety of meals but regarding the taste, some products are unsatisfactory, especially when compared to similar products, and portion sizes tend to be small, so you’re left still feeling quite hungry. The weight watchers products are also available to buy in local stores and supermarkets. Since the end benefit were promoting is weight loss and healthy eating, there are a lot of alternative products and services that provide the same end benefits. There is the butchers and the supermarkets who are now realising there’s a market for healthy low fat products and reacting to that market by providing a range of meat products that are lower in fat and still have the same great taste for e.g. Mc Ardle meats now have a range of products they call slimmer’s choice ranging from slimmer’s choice sauces to a range of dinners like the slimmer’s choice lasagne and slimmer’s chilli chicken stir-fry, and Tesco with their healthy living range. There is also a range of fitness apps on the iPhone and android market, some provided free of charge which let users browse a range of low fat recipes and provide a fitness plan suited to their needs according to their BMI and so on. Along with these options there’s also gym memberships which provide customers with a personalised training plan designed to target the areas of the body that they want to lose weight and a recommended eating plan. Then there are all of the other products that can provide the same benefits for e.g. fitness apps, fitness dvds, personal trainers, chiropractors, health food, doctors, sports equipment, and some options that are costless, like exercising at home.
