It doesn't really matter what you wear, they just say wear something tasteful. Hoodies and sweatpants obviously are not allowed, but sneakers are allowed. Since most of the stylists are older they feel better on their feet since they are on their feet a lot of the time, they like the cushion. The only thing they really say about dress code though is to just be tasteful. When it comes to doing inventory, Mary does it, she says that she just looks around and sees what is needed. As she would at home, seeing if the salon is low on anything like foils, hand sanitizer, cotton, wood sticks, anything. She has no real list to check off on anything, she just does it all mentally. But the salon does have a representative from Matrix come in every 4-6 weeks, Paul Mitchell representative comes in every 3 weeks; and gets gloves once a month or 6 weeks. When it comes to continuing education, everyone is encouraged to go out and take classes and see what new techniques they can use in the salon and how they could keep up with current trends. Sometimes in the salon they also have classes in their salon on wednesdays and have instructors come in to teach them
