It was halloween night, and children ran through neighborhoods in search of candy, but four courageous girls decided to take a detour into the dark and silent woods of Salem Massachusetts. The night was dark, and so were the innocent souls left to search the woods for vengeance. There was a dark history in the small town of salem, one that would haunt the town to this day. Little did they know that they were not alone that night as they walked through the woods, eyes were watching their every step toward their doom.
“Is this a good idea?” whispered Charlotte. “This place sends shivers down my spine, and I don’t feel right.” Anna replied.

That shut Charlotte up as they continued to walk further and further down the path of death, and lies. The path that took the lives of innocent, the road that hung those innocent people, the road that lead to the deaths of many, the road that traps those souls in eternal suffering and pain, the road that is unavoidable, the road that never ends. This path was one that innocent people walked down with their innocent souls, awaiting trial, awaiting death.
The girls jumped and screamed with a screech that pierces the soul. The sight of a dead body laying on the side the road, with revenge spelled out with twigs on her forehead. This was a scene that no one would ever forget, and then the sky turned a complete darkness, and the girls were trapped along with those innocent souls, that had been hung by a piece of coarse hair. There on a tree so black and brittle, lay a piece of string that had one purpose, to suffocate the innocent, and to rid the village of the supposed witches. SWOOSH! Then she suddenly dropped the ground, laying motionless with not even a twitch of her eyes. Then the sounds of crying became laughter, and they knew that the woods were haunted by those seeking vengeance, and to put innocent people into the suffering they were going through as well. The 3 girls left stood their motionless, with no idea of where or what to do next, shocked with the image of their best friend lying dead on the bottom of that dirt road that was just waiting to devour its next victim.
It began to storm, and the girls looked for somewhere to stay for the night, until it was bright enough to navigate their way out of that strange and mysterious woods. Anna couldn’t sleep with the idea that she might be next. All of a sudden, an aspiration flew by, it stopped and pointed to her, and then let out a ear piercing shriek then continued up the path.
