Home to the Apple headquarters, Cupertino is a small city of 11.31 miles in Santa Clara County. The city is home to a high percentage of college-educated residents, (76 percent) with high median household incomes. The median household income is $141, 953. This income is remarkably high as it more than doubles the median income in California, which is $61,818. Most of Cupertino’s Population is Asian American and White, and the average age is 40.6. Cupertino is known for their high ranking public schools and their large labor force in the Sciences and Marketing. According to Forbes, the city relies, and will continue to rely more heavily on Apple, as Apple is the largest employer to the residents in Cupertino. Further, a recent Apple report says the company will have a 10 percent annual growth rate in job opportunities.
