Being the only woman living on the farm surrounded by men can be tough when there is no one around to care enough about your feelings. Curley’s wife faced this struggle everyday, she did not have friends to sympathize with her emotions, not even her own husband until she met Lennie. Curley’s wife was not worried to express her feelings to Lennie because she knew he would not repeat it to anyone else.
