DACA was a program for many people to lean on, and it gave them hope for how their lives were going to turn out. This program gave them the opportunity to live their lives as freely as possible and it gave them a chance to live a life that they have never had before. Trump announces that the program is going to be officially ending on March 5, 2018.(CITE)The six months time notice is to provide Congress with some time to come up with a new legislative law that is going to be similar in replacement for ending the program. However, many people disagree with Trump’s decision on this; including some moderate Republicans. House Speaker Paul Ryan says he believed that Trump should have kept the program going until Congress were able to come up with a replacement to take its place. Republican Senator, Orrin Hatch, has also come out against ending DACA. In addition, Senator Bernie Sanders stated, ending DACA would be “One of the ugliest and cruelest decision ever made by a president.”(CITE)This supports the idea of many people not agreeing with Trump on his decision; and many believe it could have been handled with a better manner. The idea of replacing a program that gave people hope for their future life is a bad decision and many people
