Describe one method used to present your data

One technique of data presentation that we used was scatter graphs. This was appropriate to each of our variables in turn and our investigation overall as we were able to see distinctly whether or not the variables had increased from source to mouth. This made the technique appropriate to our investigation as it helped us towards our aim of testing the theory of the Bradshaw model against the River Emmbrook. With this technique we had six separate scatter graphs each showing all of the different points we measured with those nearer to the source first and those nearer to the mouth last on each graph. They also showed the results we had found such as all of the different depths in cm for depth. We then placed a line of best fit in each using a computer to ensure accuracy. We were then easily able to spot any patterns, trends or anomalies that may have occurred. This meant we were able to analyse our results and see if the theory of the Bradshaw Model was apparent. Because we had done them on the computer we could easily print off all six scattergraphs on one page and see if all our variables had matched Bradshaw in their changing from source to mouth. Direct visual comparison was allowed and to what extent because of the steepness of our line of best fit we could see if it easily matched Bradshaw. This helped us to test our aim.
