In my opinion “Era of Good Feelings” does not deserve its name of “Era of Good Feelings”. The Missouri compromise to 1819-1821 if “children of slaves, born within the said state, after the admission thereof into the Union, shall be free but may be held to service until the age of twenty-five years”. This meant that African Americans were not allowed to do anything. It got worse as time went on. Should this be called the Era of Good Feelings? From document C -1

No because “two years into Monroe presidency Monroe faced an economic crisis where the banks went into bankruptcy”. This tested Monroe's leadership and experience. People couldn't take money out of the banks and couldn't pay their bills. This led to unemployment and some went to jail
