Lawyers do a lot of analyzing with large amounts of information, so they should have good analyzing skills. It is also helpful, when working with clients, that lawyers gain the respect and confidence of their clients by building trust relationships. By building this trust, clients will feel comfortable sharing important pieces of information to help with the case lawyers are working with. Having the ability to problem solve is significant, in order to separate ones emotions and prejudices from clients’ problems, lawyers cannot be very opinionated. Researching is something lawyers do a lot of and preparing legal advice and representation for a client requires research. Lawyers speak on their clients’ behalf, so they must master being able to clearly present, speak, explain, and argue in front of a judge and jury (“Lawyers”). They also must be able to defend the client, and help them prove their innocence. When writing and preparing documents, they need to be very explicit and include lots of detail and be as precise and specific as possible (“Lawyers”).
