Demeter:Goddess of the corn
In Ancient Greece, people believed in gods, goddes, monsters, and heros. One of the goddess is Demeter. She is the daughter of Cronus and Rhea.She is the oldest, as was natural(Hamilton 48). Demeter was known for the changing of the seasons and having many strengths and weaknesses.
In Greek Mythology gods and goddess had many myths about them. Demeter had many myths about her, but one was the changing of the seasons. In this myth her daughter Persephone was taken by Hades, the god of the underworld. Demeter was looking for her daughter and during this time plants withered and died (Greek Mythology). Zeus sent Hermes to the underworld to demand Hades to give Persephone to her mother, but while Persephone was there
