Yes, I believe that Neanderthals did bury their dead. The well-preserved state of 50,000-year-old bones led researchers to suggest that Neanderthals buried their dead well before modern humans arrived in western Europe. There is evidence that they deliberately buried their dead and on occasion even marked their graves with offerings found for example, flowers. No other primates, and no earlier human species, had ever practiced this sophisticated and symbolic behavior. Most people see it as immutable, some as an evolving pop, others see it as completely replaced. Complex behavior and intentional, deliberate burial of the dead. It is good evidence that Neanderthals were able to develop, by themselves, some complex symbolic thought, the behavioral
