To start with, according to The Essence of Anthropology 4th Edition,
“Neanderthals are a distinct group within the genus Homo inhabiting Europe and Southwest Asia from approximately 30,000 to 125,000 years ago. They found Neanderthals in the Neander River Valley, Germany” (pg. 93). Neanderthals were highly intelligent. They survived over millions of years by adapting to the climate of freezing cold weather. Due to the lack of knowledge, I do somewhat get the impression that Neanderthals may have been wild and aggressive.
