Christopher Columbus and Charles Lindbergh lived in a time with no technology. They didn’t have the Internet, Google Maps, or most of the advanced technology that we have today. Christopher Columbus had to rely on his navigation and survival skills to get him through his journey. While on his voyage, Christopher Columbus didn’t use the coastline like other explorers, the only thing he used was his navigation skills and his compass. On the other hand, Charles Lindbergh had some better maps and a barograph with him on his journey. Columbus and Lindbergh had to deal with harsh weather, unspecified locations, and a lack of food or sleep. Both men crossed the Atlantic but the 400 year gap changed the way each achievement was perceived. Charles Lindbergh had some technology to help him on his journey, he had mechanical things to help him cross while Columbus just had a wooden boat. These men did many things in their lives that made them famous but the most important thing they did was their first adventure. Christopher Columbus and Charles Lindbergh were important figures in our history and they inspired many people to do great things.
