The disaster recovery plans are phases that every organization should incorporate as part of the business management includes the guidelines and procedures to be taken to effectively respond to and recover from disaster recovery scenarios which impacts the information system and business operations. Disaster recovery planning phases includes firstly, planning and coordination team. The disaster recovery planning group should comprise of representatives for all department of the organization including the head of the management. These are the personnel’s responsible for disaster recovery activities which includes planning, data collection, documenting and providing daily monthly reports to the higher level management. The second phase includes the assessment of risks, the disaster planning group is to prepare a risk analysis that should include the potential disaster that brings potential risks and have many consequences that are to be carefully assessed.
