The United States is known as a melting pot country. People from all over the world decide to migrate to this nation looking for a better lifestyle, opportunities, and simply for change. As a nation that guarantees the community to be unique and explore who they are, people feel entitled to follow their dreams and express their opinions openly without the fear of persecution. However, with so many individuals coming from different backgrounds, it is impossible for disagreements over certain values, beliefs, and points of views not to emerge. Diversity has its consequences, but this same diversity is what gives various social change groups the chance to develop and create an avenue for people to speak up for what they believe in, whether it be positive or negative.

However, each social change group advocates for a particular aspect of the movement, whether it be sexual orientation, race, gender, age, legal status, etcetera. Because there are so many specifics when it comes to social injustices, each category tends to develop its own backing of supporters. More importantly, as mentioned earlier, with such a large diverse society, injustices are prone to occur. Whether it be wage disparity, reproductive rights, or different points of views on immigration and the treatment of these individuals in immigration centers, there will always be those who either support or oppose these injustices.
