Before the wrap up of the Cold War, language in America was always seen as just being language. The only language that was being taught in most schools in the 60s-80s, was English. However, because of the rise of migration and religious diversity in the United States due to globalization, language has been transformed in terms of how people view it. Ethnic diversity and linguistic diversity work hand and hand in terms of how if one increases than the other one increases as well. (good place to add two quotes about 1. How linguistic diversity increased in that same period) Globalizations contributed to this variation of language in American society, because now a lot of the world’s main languages like Spanish, Chinese, and French are being taught in close to all schools public and private. But even more than this, it is interesting to look at the number of english language learners in the United States. Culture makes up everything in society, and that involved politics. Differences in America’s demographics heavily affect political
