It was the 1930s, America was faced with harsh weather conditions that turned fields essentially into dust and nothing more. Since America’s conditions were bad this caused people to suffer from uttermost privation and poverty. Many families struggled to even live. A photojournalist by the name of Dorothea Lange truly captured the plight of one out of the many families that were suffering throughout this time. The three article sections that were given unveil information for this photograph that has become renowned during the Great Depression era in America. While analyzing the three article sections, readers can distinguish the attitude in each section whether them being biased or objective.
The article that demonstrates the most objective aspect of the photo would be article section three. Article section three tells the readers the real intentions behind taking the picture. for an example, the article asserts "In 1935 a number of leading photographer commissioned to produce propaganda images for the Farm Security Administration".

Article two tells the readers the emotions and challenges that the woman in the photograph faced. In the beginning of the article "Her lined and weary face, with two of her hungry children resting on her shoulders". The writer describing Thompson makes the readers his her situation even more. "Thompson was quoted in 1978 as saying: 'I wish she [Lange] hadn't taken my picture. I can't get a penny out of it. She didn't ask my name. She said she wouldn't sell the pictures.
