INTRODUCTION:
This case involves the suspect using an unknown object to damage the driver side door window of the victim's vehicle in violation of PC 594(2)(a)-Vandalism.
LOCATION DESCRIPTION:

This incident occurred along the west curb line in front of 1857 Belmont Avenue.

DAMAGE:

Damage to the driver side door window.

INJURIES:

None.

EVIDENCE:

I took photos of the damage to the vehicle, which was later uploaded into VeriPic.

INVESTIGATION:
On 06-18-16 at 1507 hours, Officer Harrell #3441 and I were dispatched to 1865 Belmont Avenue regarding a vandalism investigation. Dispatched advised the suspect was a male Hispanic, who was inside of the residence. The victim was waiting outside of the residence for officers to arrive.
Upon our arrival, we met with Victim Rocio Melissa Guzman, along the west curb line in front of the above residence. Guzman told me the following information:
On 06-18-16 during the morning, NFD, Victim Guzman and her brother, Suspect Eric Guzman had a verbal argument. Victim Guzman was upset that Eric was making too much noise. Victim Guzman was confronted in front of the above residence by her brother, Suspect Eric Guzman. Victim Guzman asked Suspect Guzman if he had anything to do with her vehicle window being damaged. Suspect Guzman reported stated, “Yes, I did it.” Victim Guzman contacted the police department to report the incident. Victim Guzman believes the damage to her vehicle will cost less than $950.00 to repair. Victim Guzman advised me that she is desirous of prosecution and wanted Suspect Guzman arrested for vandalism.
