Today, many teenagers between the ages of fifteen and sixteen are driving on the road without a license. Many of these teenagers are unaware that driving without a license is a criminal offense. Although, it is not considered as dangerous here in the states as in other countries, numerous accidents can be attributed to these drivers. Of these accidents, the major causes are practicing the following bad habits: cellphone use, drinking and driving, and excessive loud music. These drivers need to be informed of the consequences of practicing these bad habits.

Teenagers should think of the consequences when it comes to driving out on the road. An alarming driving habit that has recently showed an increased in numbers are the use of cell phones while driving. As shown in numerous social media ads, a teenager is depicted driving with one hand on the steering wheel and the other holding the phone either texting or talking. During this whole time the person is unaware of traffic approaching them and this usually ends in a terrible accident. It only takes an instant of unfocused driving for a major accident to occur. These drivers attribute for numerous accidents by being under the influence of alcohol and drugs before getting behind the wheel. They are the number one cause of deaths among young teenagers, according to the THSP (Tennessee Highway Safety Patrol). Alcohol and drugs can severely impair your ability to drive safe and/or think clearly. Furthermore, it does not take large quantities of alcohol to impair driving ability and many prescription medications can impair driving ability as well. If you do take any kind of medications or prescribed drugs you should take some rest before you operate any
