The United States has a dual court system which is made up of the courts on the national level and the courts on the state level. In a dual court system, there exist federal courts and state courts. Each of these has jurisdictions on the type of cases under the Nation’s constitution. The United States has a dual court system so neither court could have too much power, so they limited the power of the federal courts so each court would have their own role to play. State courts are subject to cases which violate state laws and are created by state officers, federal courts deal with violations of laws created by the federal government.
State courts, which have a bigger jurisdiction, are therefore much busier because they deal with a wide variety
