Eleanor Roosevelt: The First Independent Life.

Who is a famous person that you see as a hero? Let's take Eleanor Roosevelt as an example. Eleanor Roosevelt was the first First Lady to have her own independent life. Eleanor Roosevelt was the first person who changed the First Ladies role to something so that future First Lady’s could have their own life. Eleanor Roosevelt stood up for civil rights. Eleanor Roosevelt was the first First Lady to make a difference in the First Lady role. Eleanor Roosevelt was the wife of Franklin Roosevelt. She was very proud of her achievements. However, ever since Franklin Roosevelt became president, she hadn’t really been truthful about her feelings about how she didn’t want to be First Lady because that meant that she wouldn’t have a life of her own.

Some may argue that Eleanor Roosevelt shouldn’t have decided to make her own money and to continue to do what she wanted to do and to focus on her duties, like for example, tea parties, receptions, and hosting dinners. However, Eleanor Roosevelt did do her duties as First Lady, but she still wanted to continue what she wanted to do. “Mrs. Roosevelt did her duty, during her years in the White House, the executive mansion bustled with visitors at teas, receptions, and dinners.
