His whole family, including him were Jewish and spoke Yiddish (Elie). Elie’s Grandparents played a significant role in Elie’s family becoming Jewish (Elie Wiesel), and all of his childhood was focused on studying the Jewish religion (Elie). Elie had 3 sisters and no brothers. One of his favorite things to do was to write (Elie). He wrote nonfiction, fiction, and even some plays. His father died two months later. Elie was saved from a concentration camp near Wiemar, Germany. In April US troops came and got him out. At the concentration camps he saw people getting hanged, and he escaped the human ovens. He saw Notzis throwing Jewish babies into a fire. “For a long time I wondered Oprah, Did I really see that? I sometimes doubt my own eyes. In the concentration camps, we discovered this whole universe where everyone had their place. The killer came to kill, and the victims came to die (Elie Wiesel).”
I think that the life lesson you can learn from this historic event is that you're never gonna find two people the same. You shouldn’t discriminate against other people because of a religion or race. Elie Wiesel died on July 2nd, 2016. He wrote books as an adult. He did a lot of interviews about his experience. The most interesting thing I learned about Elie is he was the only person in his family who survived. He survived two concentration camps and then he was saved. If the Holocaust didn’t happen, we wouldn’t get to hear the experience of Elie
