Take hurricane Sandy for example, which took its toll in New Jersey only 5 years ago. Though it was downgraded to a tropical storm when it made landfall, its impact was still great. It was responsible for at least 147 deaths and $62 billion in damage. Next, the wildfires in the Pacific Northwest were nothing new, but the article's author still connects it to the Rabbi's prediction. The wildfires in California began in January of 2014 and have continued ever since. They have escalated since and have spread to Montana, Idaho, Oregon, and California, but nonetheless they have been going long before the Rabbi's statement.
