What is a test analysis:
An analysis is an examination of questions a student missed on a particular test. It is an opportunity to learn from your mistakes so they are not repeated. This is important because Math skills from early chapters always show up again in later chapters.
What must I put in my analysis?:
Start with a heading:
For any question which did not recieve full credit: • Rewrite the quesiton • Explain your mistake (don’t restate the wrong answer) Tell what you were thinking or why you got a wrong value(ex: I confused the definition of ___ with the definition of ___, I had an incorrect foprmula etc. I added wrong, copied the number incorrectly • Redo the problem: no matter how small your error you must do a complete and correct example.
• If your mistake includes a wronf formula or definition write the correct formula or definition 5 times under the problem
How do I find the correct answers:
Start with the comments I put on your test and go back to your class notes and text examples.
If you still are unclear how to do a problem try HW help or a resource center.
You can also make an appointment for a one on one meeting with me. My schedule is on edline look for a period when I am unscheduled or in a resource center and the nask me to set time aside for the meeting.
What if you wrote “see me” or “lets meet”on my test:
Before our next class check your schedule and mine and at the start or end of
