Figure 10-15. All the energy drink trials in the form of bar graphs.
Analysis of Data:
After cumulatively sorting out all the data, it is arguably correct to declare that mice have an increase in distance with the consumption of energy drinks. To summarize, all the trials of the energy drinks illustrated a result in which no mouse had finished under any of the baselines trials. This confirms the feasibility of this study, as the six listed energy drinks illustrate an increase in distance ran by each mouse.
One noticeable trend throughout the data examining and collecting was the different percentage increases correlating with the nutritional contents chart, as it was seen throughout all the mice. The correlation happened to be with sugar, as the drinks with the higher sugar content tended to outperform with more distance ran than the other drinks that …show more content…
AMP finished last, with it only having a 4.33% increase from the baseline. However, one implication to consider in this research study was that the drink AMP tested on Mouse #3, the flavor used was the Organic Citrus Flavor, compared to the Original or Classic version, as that version was not available due to region availability, similarly to how Gatorade distributes its drinks. This could possibly play a role in why AMP finished last, as with organic drinks they contain natural colorings and flavorings, as opposed to the artificial additives in regular energy drinks (Roussell). However, for all other drinks, all were either the original or most popular flavor that people usually associate with were used for the
