Terrorists have been a fear and issue in the United States since September 11th, 2001. Enhanced interrogation techniques should be acceptable to use on terrorists in the US. Enhanced interrogation techniques are useful and obligatory to the United States to gain information, as a force of punishment and intimidation, and as last and only alternative to safety from terrorists. Therefore, enhanced interrogation techniques should be acceptable. It is stated in the constitution that if you commit a crime, you will be punished by the law. John Rizzo, A 34-year CIA veteran, stated,”I continue to believe that the [EIT] program was necessary and effective and that there was no practical alternative other than the one we chose. I can’t think of a single thing I could have done or would have done differently.” There is no alternative. Terrorists won’t give up any information peacefully. EITs can be used to yield information from terrorists to make this country a safer place. In Conclusion, The government's first priority is to protect United States citizens and enhanced interrogation techniques is and should be a useful and acceptable method to do
