Success criteria – Develop a well-rounded view on the importance of culturally diverse and inclusive classroom and insure that the students are aware of these reasons. This will allow students to develop their own knowledge around the importance of inclusion, equity and culturally diverse settings.

♣ Confidently use te reo and tikanga Māori to welcome, question, set tasks and form connections to science and chemistry.
Success criteria – Integrate phrases daily in a variety of different situations to ensure that students are exposed to an inclusive bicultural setting.
♣ Develop a day or concept that could be integrated into my first class as a teacher which could insure that whanau are included in the students learning.
Success criteria – Have a planned lesson or unit which insures that parents, caregivers and the wider community can attend a presentation or class so students can involve their parents and caregivers in their learning environment. This will insure that the parents or caregivers are actively engaged in their students learning. This will help with student engagement in class if they are aware that their parents and caregivers are interested in their learning.
