The first phrase implies that America is the most diverse on the planet, and America has multiple ethnic groups. Moreover, it is saying that no other country or group is more multiethnic than America, and this could be false. This undermines equality because it is stating America is more diverse than any other country. Thus, we are not equal (diversely) to other countries that may have only two dominant ethnic groups. Each country is not totally equal to each other, but it is wrong to say one country is unlike any another country diversely.
