Erick's Response In article 1, "Teens Are Just as Sedentary as 60-Year-Olds" by Alice Park, states that "More than 12,000 people ages 6 to 84 year wore activity trackers to log how many of their waking hours they spent active and how many they spent sitting"(4). As one can see, the obesity in America shows no signs of slowing and the reason why it is so widespread is that it can be traced to an increasingly sedentary lifestyle that keeps people inactive and eating for hours.
