One hot summer day I found myself getting out of john F kennedy airport.My first time coming to America from Dominican Republic.I would always think that i came here just to live with my dad,but what I didn't know is that it was for me and my family to have a better life.Althoug i was excited to come here i didn't feel prepared to live for what was to come.There has been some changes in my life both bad and good but i would say they were just lessons in life.Three of them were my culture, My education, and personality and character.

I am the oldest of three and the only girl. I speak, write, and understand both English and spanish. I am a person that like to be motivated to do good.My motivation to go to college would be my parents, mostly …show more content…
For example, in my country i didn't think much about what i wanted to be in the future.In Dominican Republic i would only see the man's working for a mechanic job and the woman's working in a beauty salon or mostly of them would be housewife.For education i would say it was very low, kids without being ready to pass to another grade would be passed to the other grade just because their parents payed the school.Here i got to learn that you can be anyone you want.

I would describe myself as an adventurous person, i like to see new things and experience new things.I’m a person that like the challenge, if i'm doing some work that's when you see it it looks difficult i have to test it myself to look for the result. I would easily pick to do work or reading instead of going to a party. Two of my favorite sports are volleyball and softball and i plan to play it in this college. My faith is what drives me to do everything i want to do.
