Failure to maintain the required Millikin cumulative GPA of 2.5 and failure to earn a C- in theories and nursing courses; Nu 410 and NU 315
I am writing to petition for nursing program in first semester junior because of my insufficient grade in Mental health and in pathophysiology. I was very upset after final grade was posted and I found out that I failed all the nursing classes that I had this semester. I would like to implore you to reconsider my position in the nursing program for the next semester. I admit that I had a very hard time during this semester, and my GPA suffered as a result. I am not trying to justify my insufficient academic achievement, but I would like to address the situation that caused me to not meet the satisfactory …show more content…
I was taking some pain medication to alleviate the pain, but finally the medicine was not working well. I developed tolerance to the medication. My doctor recommended that I should have a surgery to treat endometriosis and remove fibroid. I postpone surgery because I was afraid that I will miss some classes or clinical and will not be able to finish the semester. He increased the dosage of medication to keep me free from intensive pain until the end of the semester. I thought that I would do well in school because I was studied regularly when I am free of pain but it did not work. On Friday, December 19, 2014 at 12:30 Pm, I had a laparoscopy and hysteroscopy surgery to treat the problem at Carle hospital. Since then I have not experienced any pain as I used to. I am happy to feel good now.
To succeed in the program,
- I plan to prioritize carefully and not let problem take over me.
- I will listen to my doctor recommendations regarding my health condition, and take action as soon as possible.
- I will cut off my hours at work during the school days, and only work few hours during the weekend. My cousin and my husband will help me
