Every American colonial had to pay a “bounty” to the men that enlisted in the war. In Pennsylvania there was an attempt to give every person who enlisted a piece of land to live on, but that idea did not go any farther than a thought. Although the people who enlisted did not receive any land, they were given money, but the amount varied from colonie to colonie. Some time into the war, in an attempt to have more men fighting the war, the colonies would draft able bodied unemployed men to fight for the British. Even at the beginning of the Seven Years’ War, the tensions between the American Colonies and Great Britain were already starting to rise, and the colonies were already starting to show signs of wanting their independence. The Boston Tea Party and all the events before and after it, are a direct result of the American Colonies having enough of Great Britain's rule, and newly the taxation of everyday items such as newspapers and tea. The Boston Tea Party and the events leading up to it were almost never, if ever peaceful, and would be considered to be very
