Undocumented Immigrants and Health Care "We cannot help you; you are undocumented". Isn't that a little rough to hear? Now imagine you or a relative are being told so as you sit in a doctor’s office while searching for medical assistance. Wouldn't that just leave you feeling helpless, and alone? The medical field often has many complications, providing health care to undocumented people being one of them. The American Health Care System, must find a solution and put a stop to the growing discriminating against people who are undocumented. They deserve to have and be given the proper health care as a documented person would. Their lives and health are no less than a person who is documented. Healthcare is defined as the maintenance and improvement of physical and mental health, this is done by providing medical service. Often times, undocumented people are not allowed to receive medical assistance when they are receiving medical service. Medical assistance is based towards financial help, medical service is necessary treatment. I currently have a family member going through this situation. The thing that makes it even worse for them is that the reason they are in the hospital is not their fault. So why should they have to pay for it? Undocumented people should have the right to applying for health insurance and receive some sort of help, especially when the case of them being in the hospital was not their fault.
