If a person wants to travel and work in this field, at least they can do so. If a person does not want to work in a salon, they can work in a different profession. They could either work at a physician's office or, if they did not want to do that, they could also go to clients' houses. Not only do they have different hourly wages, they also receive numerous financial benefits. According to Kylie Martin, “there are a wide variety of benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and many others.” All these benefits come in handy, especially when you are providing for someone else. Estheticians also have flexible schedules. “In most situations, estheticians can choose whether they want to work full-time or part-time” (The Skin Institute 2022). Having a flexible schedule can help them with their daily activities. A flexible schedule helps when an emergency comes up. “Additionally, if [they] build up [their] own client base and decide to pursue [their] own business, [they] will be able to schedule clients at times that are convenient for [them]" (The Skin Institute 2022). Being able to schedule their own clients means that they do not necessarily need to work every day. Having your own schedule means you could take five people a week, or you could take twenty-five people a day. It is all up to them. The esthetician career field is growing exponentially. The job gives opportunities to people who do not want to do an abundance of schooling, but also want a demanding career.
