Uniforms are probably the most common policy enforced in schools today. However, many people across our nation still debate whether schools should be using it or not. It doesn’t take very much brain power to figure out how useful school uniforms can be, like saving money and preventing harassment from others. So this is why uniform should be enforced.
To start off, uniform is necessary in our schools because it can help prevent bullying. According to Dr. Mary Bousted, the general secretary of the teachers union, she states, “Children are in heavy pressure to buy certain brands and products to fit within their peer group.” To add on, all this unneeded pressure that is being fed into children can be easily destroyed by one simple uniform policy.
