Abigail’s envy encouraged her to start to accuse his wife of witchcraft to have John all for herself. She knew how Mary Warren had made a doll for Proctor’s wife and stuck a needle below her stomach the same place Warren has stuck the needle. The rule in the village was if someone confessed their witchcraft is true, then they will not be executed. Proctor was determined to put a stop to all the village’s sanity and took Mary Warren to tell the truth. Despite Marry Warren’s explanation of not seeing the Devil, John Proctor was betrayed by her. It seemed they weren’t going to win against Abigail and her posse by reason of Warren not being able to faint. It can interest many readers by how the story involves witchcraft. They wouldn’t be able to stop reading with how much drama happens within each chapter. The crucible resembles a history lesson that is unusual when talking about a religious village executing their own people. In my experience, the novel from beginning to end escalates quickly, which can easily draw in the readers to finish each chapter. The more the reader reads the most intense the situation gets as they are more victims hanged without doing anything wrong. There is a built up hatred against the girls which only develops when they are still innocent until they have taken it too far with their accusations at the end. What The Crucible shows is how evil people can be to execute innocent lives in the hands of young girls who were dancing in the forest while a chicken’s blood was consumed by Abigail. In this Good vs. Evil situation, the innocent are sent to kill as the one’s who are supposed to be blamed are related as harmless beings who are only doing a favor to the village as victims of the Devil’s manipulated
