Each step is crucial it burns to put pressure on my once blistered and callused feet. My mind blocks out my bodies determination. Sadie Swelling in her light calm periwinkle blue room hangs up her new soccer poster. She is tall for her age and her bright red hair and freckles make her bright personality stand out. She is 16 and a typical high school girl good friends happy family no problems. Also did I mention her emerald green eyes she is the prettiest girl in the school and all girls envy her but she doesn't know it. I walk out into the bright Naples Florida sunshine with my soccer ball in hand. I really want to get a head start for this years tryouts. It is currently the second week of school Tuesday afternoon and tryouts are next week. …show more content…
I am so excited because my new favorite shorts are at American Eagle! This trip is a feel better trip because Alicia just left an hour go. Suddenly I hear a car honk and everything goes black. A searing pain shoots up my whole body. The worst has happened. Injury an athletes nightmare. It creeps up into your life there is no way to stop it. I am unconscious while they transport my mom and me to the hospital. Luckily she's okay. When I wake up my body is stiff as a board. “ What happened?” I ask. “ Well you've survived a pretty bad accident. Your right femur is broken and your ankle is fractured. Also you need a surgery to on your big toe to put it back in place,” the doctor informs me. Before I can say anything else I’m being wheeled into the surgery room for my toe. They give me pain meds and anesthesia. I instantly fall asleep. The surgery takes an hour and the expertly repair my dislocated toe. As soon as I wake up I have so many questions. My first is “ How long is my recovery going to take?” “ About 3 months. You also won't physically be able to run or do any sports even after you are fully healed,” the doctor
