My Writing Class Analysis

Before this class, I was a writer because I had to write essays in multiple other classes which helped with my organization and detail configuration. When I was in elementary school I would get really ecstatic when I was going to write an interesting narrative with a nice plot, however, I did not get the motivation as the years went by. When I was in middle school I used to write in a journal, because it would help me organize my thoughts. If I was having a bad day and I didn’t really have anyone to talk to I would just write it down then reflect back at it in the future and how I should have approached the situations. The classes that I took before this class was English 9, American Literature and the English classes in middle school, in these classes I had many writing assignments. I never really liked to write, because I would not get that good of grades on them my average was a B- last year and I was not motivated to improve. I had multiple drafts and a ton of editing on each one of them because I wanted to start off the year with a good grade. I struggle with how to assemble the sentences in the paragraphs, and how to make the title eye-catching. Another struggle would be vocabulary I did not know how to make sure that my vocabulary score was high so I had to look up words on the thesaurus to make sure I had a great vocabulary score. The major improvements that I made were grammar and the flow of each sentence. I really liked this essay because I thought that I had an exceptional vocabulary and the structure. This piece of writing shows how I improved in vocabulary and the writing structure. Something that I still have trouble with even after this essay was how to describe and explain quotations
