Throughout composition one, I have worked on several different essays. Before this class, I had a hard time thinking of how to write papers. I would sit in front of a laptop of an hour or so and struggle with even a couple of sentences. I have improved on my writing skills throughout this class. All throughout high school, I did not write many papers like I have for this class. I did not like writing much throughout high school, but in this class, I have enjoyed the topics for the paper and it has been much easier for me to write. I like the discussion board posts we have done throughout this course because I have gotten constructive criticism about my work. It helps when peers have proofread the work and given feedback on what is good and what needs more work. My instructor has given good feedback as well as my peers. The feedback from my instructor reminds me not to be repetitive with my writing and make it clear and concise. All of the responses I have received have been helpful in making me a better writer. …show more content…
To improve my sentence structure, I could use more complex sentences and stronger vocabulary. I also need to italics my works cited when needed. I used this feedback to make sure my works cited for paper three was correct and I also used bigger vocabulary to enhance my writing. I have made many changes with my writing throughout this class. Whenever I get feedback from my instructor or peers, I use it to improve on my next paper. The Little, Brown Essential Handbook has been very useful throughout this class. Whenever I have a problem with my writing, I look through the handbook to help me find a solution to fix the problem. For example, I needed to work on my works cited, so I used the handbook’s list of works cited for assistance. Throughout this course, The Little Brown Handbook has been very convenient to use for further
